Air Brake Manual Returns
Two of the most popular downloads this site has featured are once again available, and just a click away:
The Bendix Air Brake Handbook is an invaluable resource for servicing and repairing legacy truck and bus air brake systems. Sixty-seven pages of descriptions, specifications and images to describe all aspects of air braking systems.
The companion document Bendix Slack Adjuster Service Data is a must-read even for drivers who have no intention of doing their own air brake system repairs. Knowing how to check air brake actuators for proper adjustment is essential for safety at all times on the road.
For those coach owners who want to understand and perhaps service their own air brake-equipped vehicles, both of these downloads are well worth the time to acquire -and- they are free! How can it get much better?
UPDATE: While combing through files while I was putting this site back up, I came across a third air brake manual, this one published by the New Brunswick, Canada, Department of Public Safety. Reviewing the first couple of pages, I thought it looked like an "Air Brakes for Dummies" guide, and put off posting it. This evening, I gave it more through read, and there is some good, useful information contained, so I'll toss it over to the site viewers for judgement: New Brunswick Air Brake Manual. I'm not sure about the last page, though, it's a discussion about organ donation???
