After thirteen years of supporting the MRSHARKEY.COM domain, I've come to the realization that the web site needs to at least pay it's own way, if not supply me with a bag of groceries now and then. I looked into Google AdSense advertising, but I feel like it would cheapen the site, be an intrusion on the viewers, and probably not result in any income.

Banner adverts are obtrusive, and would detract from the formatting of the pages, and again, probably not generate any real income.

Instead, I've decided to take a cue from all of the hard working baristas out there and put up a coffee cup that viewers can throw spare change into. The cup takes the form of PayPal, and if only one out of every one thousand viewers who loads a page from this site sends a dollar, I'll have enough to pay the costs of maintaining the site, and perhaps have some pennies left over to apply to the electric bill.

Since PayPal extracts a $0.30 per transaction fee for handling the donation, you might consider sending at least $2.00 so that something comes out on this end of the screen after processing.
